STRATEGI GURU TAḤFĪẒ DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS HAFALAN AL-QUR’AN SISWA SMP ISLAM IBNU UMAR CIPUTAT TANGERANG SELATAN
Abstract
This study was motivated by the challenges of maintaining the quality of Qur’an memorization among junior high school students undergoing cognitive and emotional development. The main objective is to describe the strategies used by taḥfīẓ teachers to improve students’ Qur’an memorization quality at SMP Islam Ibnu Umar. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that taḥfīẓ teachers implemented individual memorization sessions, structured daily reviews (murāja’ah), and group halaqah to foster active peer engagement. Additionally, teachers provided spiritual motivation through Qur’anic character development and inspirational advice. These strategies were proven effective in sustainably enhancing students’ memorization quality.
