DECOMPOSITION OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHER LEARNING STRATEGIES IN BUILDING STUDENTS' LEARNING POTENTIAL

Abstract

This study examines the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in developing students' learning potential at SMP Negeri 2 Pandaan. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentation. Findings reveal that PAI teachers apply integrated strategies combining active, collaborative, and spiritual values-based methods. Techniques include group discussions, project-based learning, and IT integration to create an interactive and relevant learning environment. Islamic values are contextually embedded to foster positive character and boost learning motivation. Challenges include time constraints and diverse student abilities. Teachers address these issues by adapting methods and enhancing professional competence. The study concludes that effective strategy decomposition supports optimal development of students’ academic and non-academic potential.
