Peran Komunikasi Interpersonal dalam Pendampingan Santri Baru di Lingkungan Pesantren
Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of interpersonal communication between Islamic boarding school administrators and new students so that the Islamic boarding school's learning mission can be achieved well. The objectives of this research are: 1) Identify and describe interpersonal communication used as a psychological approach strategy for new students. 2) To find out what steps must be taken to successfully establish good communication between Islamic boarding school administrators and new students in creating a good, safe and comfortable learning atmosphere. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive methods, namely by describing an object being studied through the data and samples collected. The research results were written using data sources obtained from books and journal articles related to the research topic. This research concludes that caregivers and boarding school administrators have a very important role in assisting new students so that they are able to go through transition periods in their new environment so that previously planned teaching and learning activities can be realized well and optimally, and also achieved in accordance with the vision and mission. boarding school. Mentoring can be done with an interpersonal communication approach. Verbal and non-verbal communication that takes place well will have a positive influence on the character formation of students and the learning process in the Islamic boarding school environment.
