Pendidikan Karakter Anak Yatim dalam Al-Qur’an (Analisis Tafsir Al-Manᾱr Karya Muhammad Abduh dan Rasyid Ridha)
Abstract
Losing parents at an early age emphasises the urgency of character education based on Qur'anic values to help orphans grow into resilient individuals with noble character. This study aims to analyze the interpretation of the Qur'anic verses about the character education of orphans in Tafsir Al-Manᾱr by Muhammad Abduh and Rasyid Ridha, as well as examine its relevance to the condition of orphans today. This type of research is qualitative library research with a thematic interpretation approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies, while data analysis techniques used content analysis methods. Research shows that the Qur’an emphasizes the character education of orphans through verses such as QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:220, [2]:83, QS. Al-Nisᾱ’ [4]:2-3, and [4]:127, which teach compassion, responsibility, justice, and social care. These values are relevant in addressing the emotional and social challenges faced by orphans today through nurturing care and community support. Thus, the character education of orphans in the Qur’an can serve as the foundation for an educational system that is humanistic, religious, and oriented toward the well-being of children.
