Studi pustaka ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan, menganalisis, dan mengkaji berbagai literatur yang relevan dengan topik penelitian, baik dari buku, jurnal akademik, artikel, laporan penelitian, maupun sumber-sumber lainnya yang membahas multikulturalisme, pendidikan bahasa asing, dan kurikulum pesantren. Melalui metode ini, penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang konsep-konsep yang berkaitan dengan multikulturalisme dalam konteks pendidikan Islam serta relevansinya dengan pengajaran bahasa asing di lingkungan pesantren.</p> <p>Pencarian literatur dimulai dengan menelaah teori-teori dasar tentang multikulturalisme yang dikemukakan oleh para ahli dalam bidang sosiologi, antropologi, dan pendidikan. Beberapa referensi utama mencakup karya-karya yang membahas definisi multikulturalisme, penerapannya dalam sistem pendidikan, serta dampaknya terhadap sikap sosial dan toleransi antarbudaya. Selanjutnya, literatur yang membahas pengajaran bahasa Arab dan Inggris, serta integrasi budaya dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing, juga menjadi fokus utama dalam penelitian ini. Referensi mengenai kurikulum pendidikan pesantren, khususnya yang mengaitkan pembelajaran bahasa dengan pengajaran nilai-nilai agama dan budaya lokal, juga dipertimbangkan untuk memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai pendekatan yang digunakan di Pondok Pesantren Al Istiqamah Ngatabaru.</p> <p>Dalam menganalisis literatur yang telah terkumpul, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif-kritis. Teknik ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk tidak hanya mengidentifikasi dan merangkum isi dari literatur yang ada, tetapi juga untuk mengevaluasi dan mengkritisi penerapan konsep-konsep multikulturalisme dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing di pesantren. Pendidikan Agama Islam di Indonesia tidak hanya menanamkan nilai-nilai keagamaan, tetapi juga menciptakan generasi yang mampu hidup berdampingan dalam masyarakat yang plural. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan multikulturalisme dalam kurikulum PAI di Indonesia serta mengidentifikasi tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur serta wawancara dengan sejumlah guru PAI di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun penerapan prinsip-prinsip multikulturalisme dalam PAI mulai diupayakan, masih terdapat berbagai kendala seperti pemahaman yang terbatas mengenai konsep multikulturalisme di kalangan pendidik, serta resistensi dari kelompok tertentu yang menganggap prinsip ini bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai agama. This approach aims to strengthen religious understanding by considering local wisdom in everyday life. Islamic Religious Education based on culture views the importance of understanding religion not only through teaching texts, but also through traditions and customs that already exist in society. This allows for synergy between religious and cultural values, which can ultimately form a balanced character and personality. In this context, culture plays a role as a means to convey religious teachings in a way that is more easily accepted by society. For example, existing cultural rituals can be combined with Islamic teachings, so that people can feel the closeness between their religious and cultural lives. The development of culture-based PAI can also strengthen religious identity in the context of cultural pluralism in Indonesia. In addition, the development of culture-based PAI provides an opportunity to develop learning methods that are more contextual and relevant to the social conditions of society. This study explores local wisdom's application in transformative Islamic education, focusing on student character development at MAN 1 Kudus and MAN Demak. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviewed to 18 informants, participatory observation and document analysis. The results showed that integrating local values such as unggah-ungguh<em>, guyub, </em>srawung<em>, </em>and<em> nrimo ing pandum</em> has successfully strengthened students' character in social responsibility, tolerance, and spiritual resilience. However, the main challenges in implementation are the diversity of local values in Indonesia and educators' limited understanding of the importance of local wisdom integration. The findings suggest further training for educators and closer collaboration between madrasahs, families and communities. As one of the core subjects in Indonesia's education system, Islamic Religious Education not only serves as a medium for instilling religious values but also functions as an effective means of internalizing humanitarian values, tolerance, and appreciation for cultural diversity. A concrete example of this integration can be found in the incorporation of the values embedded in the <em>Matanggauk</em> tradition, which is still preserved in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The <em>Matanggauk</em> culture, which emphasizes values such as deliberation, respect for others, and social solidarity, aligns with the principles of Islamic teachings and has the potential to enrich the learning process in IRE. This article aims to analyze the integration of local cultural values with Islamic teachings as a strategy to strengthen students' character. This study employs a qualitative approach through literature analysis. The primary data sources used are the Qur'an and secondary data sources from books, books and other literature that support the research theme. Data were collected through library studies. The researcher then analyzed the tarbawi verses in the Qur'an that are relevant to the theme of the care of Islamic boarding schools, then analyzed the interpretation of the tarbawi verses by referring to classical and contemporary tafsir books. The results of the study indicate that the contextualization of the interpretation of the tarbawi verses in the care of Islamic boarding schools is the obligation to study in Islamic boarding schools as an analysis of the contextualization of tafaqquh fi ad-Di>n surah At-Taubah [9]: 122, the Curriculum of Islamic Boarding School Care as a contextualization of Surah Luqman [31]: 13-19, Parenting pays attention to the development of santri ethics as a contextualization of surah Al-Mujadalah [58]: 11, Intellectual and Spiritual Integration in Parenting in Islamic Boarding Schools is a Contextualization of Surah Fatir [35]: 28, Criteria for Ideal Parenting analysis of surah Ali ‘Imran [3]: 79, Building effective communication is the key to success in parenting students as a contextualization of surah Al-Ahzab [33]: 70-71. One way to fulfill this backlog is sharia home financing using sharia banks and without banks. This research uses qualitative methods with case or field studies using an empirical legal research approach that analyzes and examines legal practices that occur. This research proves that: First, there are differences in the contracts used by sharia property developers without banks and those used by sharia banks. Second, there are differences in the transfer of ownership status in the process of changing the name of a house ownership certificate. Interfaith marriage remains a relevant issue in the dynamics of modern Muslim society, especially amid the increasing desire to marry people of other religions and the declining interest in the institution of marriage. This research analyzes Qur'anic verses that appear contradictory, such as Surah al-Baqarah [2]: 221 and Surah al-Mumtahanah [60]: 10, which generally prohibit marriage between Muslims and non-Muslims, and Surah al-Mā’idah [5]: 5, which allows Muslim men to marry women from the People of the Book. The study uses a qualitative method with a library-based approach. Al-Razi’s rejection of the absolute authority of <em>ijma’</em> (consensus) opens up space for more flexible interpretations of Islamic law, taking into account textual evidence, social realities, and the principle of public interest (<em>maslahah</em>). Umar ibn Khattab’s cautious stance on marriage with the People of the Book also highlights the importance of contextual considerations. The main problem raised is the lack of integration between historical and epistemological analysis in previous studies, which often separate the two. This study uses historical methods to trace the chronology of the development of interpretation and epistemological analysis methods to examine the scientific basis behind various types of interpretation, such as fiqh, philosophical, Sufi, and literary interpretations. The results of the study show that the development of interpretation is influenced by the social, political, and cultural contexts in each era, with variations in methodological approaches in each school of thought that reflect the flexibility of interpretation. This study also found that cross-school dialogue and the use of modern technology provide opportunities to produce interpretations that are more relevant to the challenges of the times. In conclusion, the integration between historical and epistemological analysis is important to provide a more comprehensive understanding of Qur'anic interpretation.
