Tafsir Tarbawi Term Tarbiyyah dan Ta’lim

Abstract

This article aims to formulate sources of Islamic education through the implementation of the thematic tarbawi interpretation method aimed at verses containing the term Rabb and its derivation as a representation of Islamic education in the context of tarbiyyah; and verses containing the term 'Allama and its derivation as a representation of Islamic education in the context of ta'lim. There are three findings of this article. First, of the 977 terms Rabb and their derivations in the Qur'an, 972 terms designate Allah as the source of education; and 5 terms designate humans as sources of education. Meanwhile, of the 41 terms 'Allama and their derivations, 24 verses point to Allah Swt as a source of education; and 17 terms designate creatures other than Allah Swt as a source of education, especially humans. Second, the sources of Islamic education according to the perspective of the Qur'an in the context of tarbiyyah and ta'lim are Allah and humans. Third, Allah and humans as sources of Islamic education are realized through four sources of knowledge, namely the sources of revelation (Al-Qur'an and asSunnah), intuition (inspiration and inspiration), reason (ijtihad and reasoning), and sense organs (especially hearing and sight).
