PENDIDIKAN ANAK DALAM KONSEP ISLAM
Abstract
Education given to children is a preparation for children's maturity in facing the future. The role of educators and parents in educating children is very important because they can see the potential in children. The definition of education is the guidance, coaching or assistance provided by educators to students in order to achieve maximum development according to their talents and human potential to achieve educational goals. In the childhood phase, the child wants to leave the house and play with peers so that they can communicate widely and the child can learn various skills to try new things from their environment. Children's education is very important in Islam because children are the next generation who will continue life in the future. As for the verses of the Koran that relate to children's education are (Surah Lukman: 13,14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19). Noble morals that can be instilled in the souls of children in Islamic education are a) Knowing and loving Allah b) Loving the Messenger of Allah c) Learning and getting used to reading the Qur'an d) Teaching worship. Parents have the task of educating children, namely introducing Allah SWT, then instilling that Allah exists, One and no other God but Allah, such as by inviting children to see Allah's creation so that children have the ability to think that Allah created the universe. Then the children should be introduced to the personality of the Prophet Muhammad as an idol figure of Muslim children by telling the story of his exemplary and heroism so that there is a sense of admiration in the child towards the Prophet. Parents must also set an example for children in reading the Qur'an so that they are accustomed to hearing the chanting of the holy verses every day at home and also have their duties and obligations to teach children in worship.
