MELAGUKAN AL-QUR’AN DENGAN LANGGAM JAWA
Studi Terhadap Pandangan Ulama Indonesia
Abstract
Several years ago in a forum, the al-Qur'an was read with a song (tone) or an unusual style, namely the Javanese style. Of course this immediately reap polemics among the ulama in Indonesia. This is of course interesting to study and research. Mainly by raising the following issues; First, who are the scholars who contradict reading the Qur'an in Javanese style, what and what are their arguments? Second, who are the scholars who are pro or agree with reading the Qur'an in Javanese style, what and how are the arguments? Third, what are the similarities and differences between the two groups of scholars with different views? This research is qualitative in nature with the primary data source in the form of the views of the ulama figures who are involved in the pros and cons of chanting al-Qur'an in Javanese style. This research concludes; First, the scholars who are contra in this case include Prof. Dr. KH. Agil Husin Munawwar, M.A, Habib Riziq Syihab, M.A, Ust. H. Tengku Zulkarnain, Muammar ZA, and Hj. Maria Ulfah, M.A, on the grounds that Al-Qur'an is the holy book of Allah, cannot be combined with a style other than the style that has been agreed upon by jumhûr 'ulama. Second, among the scholars of al-Qur'an who are pro to Javanese style, among them are Dr. Ahsin Sakho Muhammad, M.A, Prof. Dr. Quraish Shihab, M.A, Prof. KH. Ali Mustafa Ya'qub, and M.A, Prof. Dr. KH. Ma'ruf Amin, M.A, on the grounds that it is permissible to sing al-Qur'an with other styles (Javanese) as long as it does not come out of the correct Tajweed and does not force the style to violate Tajwid. In addition, there are also scholars with moderate views, including Dr. KH. Ahmad Fathoni, Lc, M.A and Romlah Widayati, on the grounds that they can sing al-Qur'an in any style, but do not exaggerate it, it is feared that it will damage the rules of recitation. Because the standard of reading the Al-Qur'an is a tartil. Third, the equality of groups that agree and disagree, both prioritize reading the al-Qur'an with Tajwid. As for the difference, the group that allows the Javanese style of the Koran, actually allows it on condition that it does not leave the Tajweed rules, while the group that rejects the Javanese style rejects the style that can insult the Qur'an and if it violates Tajwid.
