Abstract

This research was conducted to re-analyze those who say that the practices of the Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia, Central Jakarta, are not in accordance with sharia, namely a lack of accuracy in visitor selection, so there are still visitors who are not mahram or legally married couples who are allowed to stay at the hotel. The research method used in this research is qualitative in the form of centralized interviews and case studies with a normative juridical approach. The author carried out data collection techniques using interviews, documentation, and observation. Based on the analysis of the data that has been collected, there are three criteria for management at Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia, namely business management, human resources, and organization. Management at Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia is in accordance with DSN MUI Fatwa No. 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 Concerning Tourism Implementation Guidelines, which are based on sharia principles. If a non-mahram couple is found to be staying at a hotel, it is diverted to social funds.
